    1. Octaplus Networks Limited (“Octaplus”, “we” “us”, and “ours”) is an internet service provider. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 13985026 and our registered office and main trading address is at Kemp House, 152 – 160 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

    2. We are regulated in the UK by Ofcom. At Octaplus, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Octaplus and how we use it.

  5. Log Files
    1. Octaplus follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Octaplus, which are sent directly to users’ browser.     3. Note that Octaplus has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

    1. Octaplus’ Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites.   8. Data Retention
    1. We will only keep your personal data on file whilst we need it for the purposes we collected it for. As well as for servicing your contract, we might also need to retain it to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

    3. By law we have to keep basic information about our users (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for at least 7 years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

    1. Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

    2. Octaplus does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.

However, if we feel that your request is unfounded, repetitive or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or we may let you know that we are refusing to comply with your request. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

  15. Security Measures
    1. We use the SSL/HTTPS protocol throughout our site. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so that personal identifiable information is not captured/hijacked by third parties without authorization.

    2. In case of a data breach, system administrators will immediately take all needed steps to ensure system integrity, will contact affected users and will attempt to reset passwords if needed.
