Home Gateway Hub – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Home Gateway Hub device (“Device”) and the associated subscription services (“Service”) provided by Octaplus Networks Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By purchasing, activating, or using the Device or Service, you (“Customer”, “you”) agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Device Ownership & Return Policy

1.1 The Device is supplied to the Customer on a rental basis and remains the property of Octaplus Networks Ltd at all times.
1.2 The Customer is granted the right to use the Device only while an active subscription is in place.
1.3 If the subscription is cancelled, terminated, or expires for any reason, the Device must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.
1.4 Failure to return the Device may result in a non-return charge of £200 (or the applicable retail value), which may be deducted from any stored payment method.
1.5 The Device must be returned in reasonable working condition, allowing for fair wear and tear.
1.6 Damaged, not working condition devices the customer will be loable to pay GBP200

2. Minimum Subscription Term

2.1 A minimum contract term of 12 months applies from the activation date of the Service.
2.2 Early cancellation before the end of the minimum term will result in:
Full subscription fees remaining for the rest of the 12-month period, and
The requirement to return the Device within 14 days.
A 30 days trial offer includes, the customer will be charged for shipping charges an amount of GBP10
2.3 After the initial 12-month term, the subscription rolls into a monthly rolling contract, cancellable with 30 days’ notice.

3. Fees & Payment

3.1 The Customer agrees to pay:
The initial hardware fee (discounted or full price as applicable).
The monthly subscription fee as advertised.
3.2 The first 1,000 customers may receive promotional pricing or free subscription periods; such promotions apply only as stated and may not be transferred.
3.3 Payments are collected monthly by direct debit, card payment, or another approved payment method.
3.4 If a payment fails, we reserve the right to suspend access to the Service and Device functionality until payment is received.

4. Device Usage & Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer agrees to use the Device for lawful purposes only.
4.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Device is installed correctly and connected to appropriate power and network equipment.
4.3 The Service provides filtering, analytics, and control features; however, we do not guarantee complete blocking of all harmful, inappropriate, or malicious content.
4.4 Customers must not modify, tamper with, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Device.

5. Service Availability & Updates

5.1 We aim to provide continuous Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
5.2 We may perform maintenance, updates, or software improvements remotely.
5.3 Features may evolve over time; some may be added or removed as the Service develops.

6. Privacy & Data Handling

6.1 We do not collect personal browsing history or specific user content.
6.2 Operational data may be collected for:
Service functionality
Security protection
Performance optimisation
6.3 All data handling complies with GDPR and UK data protection law.

7. Liability

7.1 We are not liable for:
Loss of internet connectivity due to ISP or router issues
Improper installation or misuse of the Device
Damages caused by third-party devices or software
Loss of business, revenue, or data resulting from use of the Device
7.2 Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the Device and the last 12 months of subscription fees.

8. Cancellation Policy

8.1 After the minimum 12-month term, cancellations require 30 days’ written notice.
8.2 The Device must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.
8.3 If the Device is not returned, a non-return charge will be applied.

9. Termination by the Company

We may suspend or terminate the Service if:
You misuse the Device
Payments fail repeatedly
You breach these Terms
We discontinue the product line (with appropriate notice)

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the Device or Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
